Building on the highly successful season at last year’s arts festival, Project Prima Volta will feature an exciting night of opera with all new material and singers in the second part of the series.
Project Prima Volta is an annual performance-based music programme, where rising stars from local high schools meet weekly to rehearse and grow their skills and confidence.
The new intake of 30 students presents veritable jewels of the operatic repertoire in a collection of staged scenes and arias from classic operas. All the most loved composers are there with these talented teenagers adding their own special flavour to the timeless compositions.
Special guest directors include José Aparicio and this year, several PPV students will self-direct a scene, supported by key Project Prima Volta staff.
