Our Historical Tour focuses on the historical day-to-day workings of New Zealand’s oldest prison. Listen to fascinating facts and stories of prison life dating back to 1862.

Simply make your way to the prison at 55 Coote Road any time between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm, and one of our staff members will set you up with an audio guide and map, with which you can explore the prison at your own pace. Available in different languages.
