Black Rose Limousine Three hour WOW tour consists of pickup at the Napier i-SITE for a tour around Napier's Art Deco Precinct talking about the effects the 1931 Hawke's Bay Earthquake had on the area. We then travel south past the Norfolk Pines along Marine Parade and its many interesting features, including the Millennium Dome and Spirit of Napier, through the orchard and vineyard areas to an amazing local winery for a wine tasting. After whetting the appetite we venture to the top of Te Mata Peak (399 metres above sea level) for exhilarating 360 degree panoramic views of the Heretaunga Plains and beyond. Great photo opportunity here! Te Mata Peak is most visitor's highlight of the tour. We then head down through Havelock North, the boutique Village to sample tasty complimentary locally produced fruit at Pakowhai Fruit Stall. After taking in the sights and sounds of The Art Deco Capital Napier, you will hear about the devastating effect the 7.8 magnitude 1931 Earthquake had on the area. Our Country, Coast and City Tour takes you along the coast and through our beautiful countryside including apple orchards, vineyards and farmland.
This tour includes a stop at the Arataki Honey centre, which showcases New Zealand’s unique Manuka honey, famous for its unique medicinal healing properties. There is no denying that people and bees are at the heart of Arataki, and their purpose built factory brings both together to showcase this wonderful export industry.
We then venture 399m up Te Mata Peak for a spectacular 360 degree view of Hawke’s Bay - fantastic photo opportunity and a must do when in the Bay. The Tour will also drive through Hastings and show you Art Deco Buildings rebuilt after the 1931 Hawke's Bay Earthquake. Depending on how bad your chocoholic addiction is, this next venue will put an end to any diet that you may have accidentally found yourself on. The Silky Oak Chocolate Factory is a chocoholics dream with a complimentary tasting included. We then drive around the Port Of Ahuriri back to drop you off close to the Napier i-SITE Visitor Centre, from where you can catch the shuttle back to your ship or venture into town for a stroll.
